ClimaGen presented at the ECSA’s biannual gathering in Oulu, Finland

European Citizen Science Association (ECSA) is the largest European network bringing together a diverse range of stakeholders, entities and individuals dealing with different aspects of citizen science. Since its foundation in 2014, the ECSA has been regularly organising its biannual meetings which became prominent events and major points for the discussion about results, trends and emerging practices of citizen science and other relevant participatory practices for the involvement of citizens into the process of scientific research.
Center for the Promotion of Science, one of ClimaGen’s Belgrade pilot partners, is a member of the association throughout the decade. CPN regularly contributes to its causes and activities, including participation in joint EU-funded projects, association’s communications and conferences’ proceedings and presentations.
CPN submitted an application for the presentation of the ClimaGen’s objectives and methodology which was accepted as a short pitch format, and held on March 4 at the University of Oulu. Dobrivoje Lale Erić, representing both CPN and ClimaGen, talked in an informal manner, which was requested as the approach of this particular session, about key elements and goals of the #ClimaGen approach: its contextualised, blended and open methodology, nine participating cities and a variety of local partnerships and collaborations, emphasising the formation of Belgrade’s pilot, its purpose and unique structure. Finally, the main attention was given to the integration of interdisciplinary art and research practices, as CPN’s key contribution which will be devised as a creative concept within Belgrade pilot and CPN’s art+science annual festival.
